Twice a year my Local Gaming Group South Wight Wargamers organise a full day of gaming. I was more than happy to make it over to this years summer event having been unable to make any weekly evening meetings this year.
So in amongst the 40K games , Blood bowl and a plethora of Board and Social games Myself and my regular gaming partner Nye set up in a corner for a couple of games.
First on the table was Surviving Nam as I was keen for Nye to give it a go. As Nye has been busy painting up his Aussie forces for Vietnam we decided to go with an Aussie Section tasked with providing a screening force to prevent the VC from attacking a disabled tank while it's crew carried out repairs.

With Nye controlling the Scout Team and the Gun Group and myself taking the rifle group we managed to inflict significant fire onto the encroaching VC enough to allow the tank to complete its repairs before driving off leaving us us to extract our single casualty back to our start point for extraction.
Again Nye has been busy and recently finished painting up some Anglo Saxon forces so our Game saw yy Viking raiders pitched against a Saxon force lead by another club member Patrick for control of the Mead Store in the centre of the table.
After a fast moving Battle that saw my Berserker take down one of the Saxon Horsemen we ended up in a confused clash of shield walls around the mead hall. The Anglo Saxons took the day after a dying Saxon Horseman inflicted a Death Worthy of a Song on my Jarl.
As much as I enjoy my Solo Gaming it was refreshing to get out and play a couple of fun games with other players hopefully I'll be able to make some weekly meets going forward.
