Gaming table upgrade

So I'm fairly limited size wise at HQ.
After the CinC requisitioned my put up tables I've been restricted to the rather small 3x3 kitchen table.

I was inspired by a post on one of the Facebook groups I lurk around on by another gamer in a similar situation
His answer was to use two insulation boards sealed with tape with a hinging long edge joining then together. Lightweight, easy to store and easy to throw down for a game.

I started by sealing the edges on both boards with tape.

I then sealed each with overlapping tape lengthways on both sides.

Starting with small tags I joined the two panels along one edge checking each side of the hinge edge allowed folding before running full length along the seam.

Deployed I now have a larger 4x4 table.

Folded down it won't be difficult to find a nook for storing it in.

Total cost for the two boards and the couple of rolls of duct tape was about £30. I'm intending to pick up some Artificial grass joining tape to cover the unfolded top side to better grip the fleece mats I'm making to use with this.

Last pictures are a quick test layout using a fleece I'd picked up for cheap, Topography is supplied by the old school method of laying down old t-shirts or books under the fleece and works really well. This layout took less than half hour to throw down and pack away making it ideal for getting quick games in when opportunity allows.
